Open Government Partnership

Also known by its acronym OGP. It is a voluntary multilateral initiative that seeks to improve government performance, foster civic participation, and improve the responsiveness of governments to their citizens. The Open Government Partnership was launched in 2011 to provide an international platform for domestic reformers committed to making their governments more accountable, open and responsive to their citizens. Since then, OGP has grown from 8 participating countries to 99 countries (2019). In all these countries, government and civil society are working together to develop and implement ambitious reforms around open government.
